MBTA Service and the "T" Visitor Passport

Boston is one of America’s most compact and delightful cities for walking. But, sooner or later, you’re going to need the "T." Run by The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), the "T," provides excellent direct service to just about anywhere in Metropolitan Boston. Fares are $.85 locally and range from $.85-$2 on suburban routes.

To travel like a Boston local, remember — on the "T," all routes lead to (inbound) and from (outbound) downtown’s Park Street.

Save on Fares and Admissions

The "T’s" Visitor Passport provides unlimited travel in Boston for one day ($5), 3 days ($9), or 7 days ($18). Visitor Passport-holders may also purchase The Arts/Boston Coupon Book ($7), with over $250 worth of discounts to more than 60 of the best museums and attractions in Massachusetts. The book provides 2-for-1 admissions and other savings at The Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, John F. Kennedy Library and Museum, New England Aquarium, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Computer Museum, The Children's Museum, Boston Duck Tours, Old Town Trolley, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Plimoth Plantation, Worcester Art Museum ...and much more.

You can also show your Visitor's Passport at any BosTix booth (Faneuil Hall, Copley Square and Harvard Square in the Holyoke Arcade) and get $2 off theater tickets. (Coupon Books are regularly $9.)

Boston Passports are sold at North Station, South Station, and Back Bay Station; at the Airport, Government Center, Harvard Square MBTA stations; at visitor information centers on Boston Common, in Quincy Market, and at several hotels and newsstands. For other sales locations or for specific information on routes and schedules, call the Customer Service Center: (617) 222-3200.

For sales locations and schedule information, call
