Summer Fun in Boston

Boston is a great place to visit anytime of the year and in the summer there are so many things to do that you will never be bored. Being a city that is practically surrounded by water makes it a great summer destination. Here are a few things that you can expect to do on a hot summer day in Boston.

If you want to stay near the water but not get in it, you could always rent a sailboat or a rowboat and sail the waters of the beautiful Jamaica pond. Boat rentals are fairly cheap and they are available from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

The New England aquarium will get you up close and personal with all sorts of exotic fish, sharks and stingrays. It is hard to see everything in this great zoological park in just one day.

If there is one thing Boston is known for, it would have to be the wonderful fresh seafood that is brought in from the local waters. You will not find a better place to eat the freshest seafood like oysters, crabs, lobster and fish. The award winning food at Locke-Ober will please anyone’s pallette. Make sure you bring an empty stomach because the food is so good here that you will not be able to get enough.

If things get too hot in the kitchen, you can always cool down in one of the many public pools or fountains. The fresh cool water is enough to cool just about anyone.

There are other things to do in Boston that do not involve water. You could take a tour on Boston’s Movie Mile walk. On this tour you will see parts of Boston that have been featured in major motion pictures and hit television series.

There is something for everyone in Boston during the summer.
