Taxi:
Grab any one of the waiting taxis out of Logan for
convenient, door-to door service. Expect to pay from $18 to $25,
and the trip could take you anywhere from 15 minutes to 40
minutes, depending on traffic. You’ll also probably find them
around your hotel, or can have your concierge call a local taxi
service.
You might try Red Cab (617-734-5000), Green Cab
(617-625-5000), Town Taxi (617-536-5000), or Metro Cab
(617-242-8000). Like most major cities, there are taxi stands at
hotels, theaters, and even some shopping areas.
If you’re planning on doing some bar-hopping, you’re
probably going to need a cab at the end of the night. Boston’s
bars stay open till 2 AM, but the T only runs till 1 AM. Keep an
extra $20 in your pocket for the cab ride home. Cab drivers are
pretty used to inebriated patrons, and it’s much safer than
driving.
Limo:
If you’re living in high style, and want a treat, take a
limo. Some of the major hotels offer limousine service; call
ahead to check, otherwise call Commonwealth Limousine Service at
1(800) 558-LIMO, Carey Limousine Boston 1(800) 336-4646, Boston
Luxury Limousine (1-800-257-3746), or Lifestyle Transportation,
Inc. (1-800-228-6894).
